Psychotherapy is scary

Therapy is not something we commonly think about.  Most of us are not comfortable sharing our personal life, fears and hopes with someone other than our significant other. This is especially true if that someone is unknown. Stress management, skills training, relationships and role modeling are areas of comfort, but these alone don’t always resolve the issues we carry.  Being vulnerable is uncomfortable. I have been there and had the opportunity to learn about what I am able to do and what star I may someday reach.

I want to help you find the right path for you, discover what’s around the bend, explore and develop your confidence and skills.  My clinical approach is to help you discover the relationships between your thoughts, behaviors and emotions and body.  The tough experiences in life are sometimes difficult to understand.  Allowing and learning how to let go of these life experiences changes our ability to cope.

Sometimes the decision to change produces both anxiety and fright of the unknown, but when the present pain is too difficult, it’s time to seek a different approach.
